Becoming a Volunteer

Upstate Cerebral Palsy relies on the support of the community to assist in providing the best services possible for the people Upstate Cerebral Palsy serves. Many volunteer opportunities are available for all ages, which include:

Opportunities Include:


• be a friendly visitor in the adult residences or help in a classroom in one of the children’s programs
• help with clerical tasks or staff the thrift store
• help with the recreational horseback riding program or the Big Brothers Big Sisters program
• participate in the Super Summer Volunteer program
• help in the Community Development Department
• help with maintenance projects including painting, cleaning, landscaping and/or building
• help raise money by participating in various Upstate Cerebral Palsy fund raising events
• adopt a family for the Holiday Project

Upstate Cerebral Palsy has sites throughout Oneida, Herkimer and Madison Counties and welcomes local community involvement through volunteer service. If you have a talent or skill you would like to share, contact Upstate Cerebral Palsy and a place will be found for you in the agency!!!
